Position: Full Time Paramedic Lieutenant (Training Officer/Assistant Supervisor)
Salary Range: $42,985 (*$48,082 Max Annual Salary) - $64,697 (*$72,369 Max Annual Salary). Salary is based on years of experience, education, and other qualifying certificate courses. Salary range above does not reflect additional pay for built in overtime or holiday hours. No pay is deducted for health insurance.
*The Salary range of $42,985 - $64,697 does not include additional pay for built-in overtime or holiday pay. For example: an employee who meets the minimum qualifications with no additional experience or other certifications or degrees would get a base pay offer of $42,985 but would receive an additional $1,515 for holiday pay regardless if holidays are worked or not & would receive up to an additional $3,582 in built in overtime (assuming all shifts are worked).

About the Yadkin County EMS Paramedic Lieutenant Position:
This position will serve as a Training Officer and will answer directly to the Assistant Director of Emergency Services with any training department related matters. This person will be working with two other shift Lieutenants in the planning, preparation, scheduling, and delivery of all continuing education for departmental ALS education and countywide BLS education for the fire and rescue departments. They will also be serving as a Shift Supervisor in the absence of the Captain, being accountable for 5 ALS units throughout the county for a 24 hour period. This position is subject to work as part of Yadkin County’s All-Hazards Incident Management Team during times of EOC activations.
Work Schedule: Our system 24 hour shifts with SDO’s (24/48 hour shift with 5 days off every 3-4 weeks). The Paramedic Lieutenant will be assigned to the 24/48 hour shift with 5 days off every 3-4 weeks.
