Yadkin County EMS Paramedic Positions Available (FT & PT)

Position: Paramedic (Full-time and Part-time positions available)

Salary Range (Full Time): $34,469 - $51,704. Salary is based on years of experience, education, and other qualifying certificate courses. Salary range does not reflect additional pay for built in overtime or holiday hours.

Salary Range (Part Time): $15.78 - $23.67. The hourly rate is based on years of experience, education, and other qualifying certificate courses.

Work Schedule: Our system utilizes both 12 hour shifts (day and night shifts with every other weekend off) and 24 hour shifts with “SDO’s” (24/48 hour shift with a full 5 days off every 3-4 weeks).

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Paramedic Certification by the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • FEMA Independent Study Courses: IS-100.c, IS-200.c, IS-700.b, and IS-800.c within 1 year of hire
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Ability to meet the physical, communication, and other like requirements listed in the job description

Yadkin County is a rural community located west of Winston-Salem, NC. We serve 37,000+ citizens, as well as the visitors and travelers who commute into and through our County every day. Last year, we responded to over 5,700 request for service utilizing 5 ALS transport units and 1 QRV.
