Position: Full Time Paramedic; Part Time Paramedic; Part Time AEMT; Part Time EMT

  • Salary Range (Full Time): $37,132 - $55,697 Salary is based on years of experience, education, and other qualifying certificate courses. Salary range does not reflect additional pay for built in overtime or holiday hours. For example, a Paramedic with no experience or additional credentials would expect to make over $40,000.00/year.
  • Starting Pay for part-time (more is offered for additional experience/applicable credentials/degrees): Paramedic $17.00/hr, AEMT $14.69/hr, EMT $13.99/hr. 


Work Schedule: Our system utilizes both 12 hour shifts (day and night shifts with every other weekend off) and 24 hour shifts with SDO’s (24/48 hour shift with 5 days off every 3-4 weeks).

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Paramedic Certification by the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800 within 1 year of hire
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Ability to meet the physical, communication, and other like requirements listed in the job description

Yadkin County is a rural community located west of Winston-Salem, NC. We serve 37,000+ citizens, as well as the visitors and travelers who commute into and through our County every day. Last year, we responded to over 5,500 request for service utilizing 5 ALS transport units and 1 QRV.
