Randolph County - Full-Time Paramedics

Randolph County Emergency Services is now accepting applications for full-time and part-time NC credentialed Paramedics.  EMTs who will be paramedic certified within three months welcome to apply now.  Deadline to apply is August 27, 2021.

  • Starting hourly pay rate at the EMT level - only until local testing and oral boards complete = $16.92 (or DOE), OT rate $25.38.
  • Paramedic hourly rate starting at $18.67, OT rate $28.01 (or DOE);
  • Step progression to standard hourly rate $21.03, OT rate $31.55;
  • Standard annual paramedic salary $51,343.  With benefits $72,706;
  • Hourly rate calculated at 2,080 regular hours, plus 240 overtime hours (includes required monthly in-service training hours & meetings);
  • Twelve-hour shifts;
  • Day or night shift available (0700-1900 or 1900-0700);
  • PSS allowed; and
  • Merit increases possible.

Randolph County Emergency Services has 190 full-time and part-time positions in the following divisions: 9-1-1 Communications, Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Services, Technical Services, and the Fire Marshals office.  Randolph County is just over 800 sq miles, has a population of 145,000 residents, and has a beautiful landscape.  The NC Zoo, NC Aviation Museum, NC Pottery Museum, John Deere museum, Victory Junction Gang Camp, Harley Davidson museum, and other special places like the Uwharrie National Forest bring in over 1.5 million visitors to Randolph County each year.  Average five calls per 12-hour shift.  Eight base locations.
