Onslow County EMS is part of the Onslow County-Camp Lejeune EMS System. Onslow County EMS responds to over 20,000 911 calls each year from fixed stations located throughout the County. The EMS System utilizes progressive clinical protocols, including whole blood administration and DAI, to provide the highest level of prehospital care. The EMS system is supplemented by fire department first responders and a growing Community Paramedic program. Onslow County provides paid training for all staff based on System trends, quality metrics and NREMT criteria. Employees have multiple pathways for advancement and can join several speciality teams including event medicine and swift water rescue.
Qualified candidates will be asked to participate in a skills assessment and an interview for this position on December 7th and/or 8th, 2021 in Jacksonville, NC.
High school diploma or GED with coursework in emergency medical services, or related field and moderate experience as a paramedic, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
