Full Time Paramedics

Job Description: An employee in this position serves as a member of a two-person ambulance crew and is responsible for providing basic and/or advanced life support to sick and injured patients. The employee is knowledgeable and performs all necessary skills of the EMT or EMT-Paramedic credential in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, protocols and Stanly County EMS Policies. Our approximately 400 sq. mile service area is bordered by Badin Lake and Lake Tillery with an estimated population of 67,000. SCEMS responds to over 16,000 calls per year. Stanly County EMS utilizes aggressive Region I protocols and top of the line equipment. We have 4 EMS Bases and 6 Units located in Albemarle, Norwood, Red Cross and New London. New main EMS Base completed this month along with 2 new ambulances online, and 4 more new ones in production. Stanly EMS offers opportunities to participate on specialty teams with NC SMAT III, Tactical Medics and the SPEAR Team. Our Community Paramedic Program has two full-time Paramedics and reserves on each shift. Our service works a 24/72 hour schedule which will provide you with an excellent work/life balance.

Minimal Qualifications: EMT – Current NC EMT and BLS certifications. Paramedic – Current NC Paramedic, ACLS, PALS and BLS certifications.

Additional Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Must have a valid North Carolina Class C Driver’s License and must be able to pass a background check, drug screen and agility test. Recruitment Period: November 17, 2021 – December 1, 2021
