The Lead Paramedic instructor will be the lead instructor for Paramedic classes conducted on south campus with specific responsibility for implementation and delivery of an academy style program. Responsibilities will include teaching Paramedic and other EMS courses; developing course syllabi and instructional materials; maintaining instructional records; recruiting, advising and retaining students. This position will report to the EMS Program Director/Chair and will join a team consisting of a full-time program director, lead paramedic instructor, two clinical coordinators, and an EMT instructor in addition to part time staff. Pay Grade C43: Salary Range $60,858.63 to $79,116.64 with mid-point $69,987.10

Staff Required Education/Experience:

 

Faculty Required Education/Experience Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in field related to area of assignment and four (4) years of progressive responsibility in area of assignment; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

 

Desired Education/Experience/Skills:

  • National Registry Paramedic certification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in EMS
  • Level II NCOEMS instructor certification
  • Instructor certifications in: PALS, ACLS, BCLS, PHTLS, ITLS, AMLS
  • 5 years of teaching experience

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in MS Office products,
  • Blackboard or other LMS, and online tools such as FISDAP
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong commitment to student success;
  • Detail oriented;
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong partnerships with public safety agencies
  • Willingness to participate in college activities and committees;
