EMT Transport Supervisor


Performs supervisory and technical work directing the activities of non-emergency medical Transport.

An employee in this class coordinates and supervises the activities of staff and ensures all equipment and supplies are maintained. Work involves identifying staffing and materials needed for daily operations and providing direct medical services in emergency situations.  Employees are responsible for scheduling personnel and finding replacements when necessary, mentoring and training employees and performing performance reviews for employees assigned to their shift; and reviewing reports for accuracy.  Employeee will ride the truck daily. Work involves frequent public contacts and considerable independent initiative and judgment. The employee is subject to hazards in the emergency management and medical services work including working in both inside and outside environmental conditions, hazardous fumes, dusts, odors, mists, and gases. Work may expose the employee to human blood or body fluids and thus the job is subject to the OSHA requirements on blood borne pathogens. Work is performed in accordance with established company operating guidelines and under supervison of the operations director.
