POSITION: Administrative Assistant II


DUTIES: Provides administrative support to the Emergency Services Department. Receives and responds to telephone calls and visitors; maintains office calendar; types letters, memoranda and correspondence; maintains budget tracking reports; tracks and maintains invoices and accounts; explains policies and procedures; takes appropriate action to resolve questions or concerns; schedules public outreach events; and prepares and maintains emergency services resource listings, documents and plans.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school and considerable administrative and secretarial experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required. The ability to obtain and maintain emergency services related certifications is required. The availability to work during adverse weather conditions which may include evenings and weekends is required.


SALARY: $25,006 - $40,010
