Position Overview


We are looking for highly creative, innovative professionals that think outside-the-box. As an Instructional Developer, you will be working closely with other Developers and Instructional Designers to create interactive and engaging online training content. You will work as a member of the team from the concept to creation of the online learning modules. You will be challenged to push your design skills to new levels and continually improve on the products that 911 e-Learning Solutions utilizes for our in-house use and for outside partners and clients.


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Develop lesson materials according to client specifications
  • Create lessons using various e-Learning authoring software
  • Review Lessons from other developers for accuracy and design characteristics as part of the development process
  • Participate in the design process when creating new courses for development
  • Participate in professional development sessions to enhance your design and creative skill set
  • Attend virtual meetings to facilitate ongoing communication and team building
  • Utilize various applications and software to ensure consistent communication and development of projects by set deadlines
  • Performs other duties as assigned



Minimum Qualifications:


Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Highly motivated
  • Excellent time-management skills with ability to meet deadlines
  • Advanced computer and fundamental technology competencies
  • Demonstrated creative abilities
  • Ability to interact positively with team members, think critically, and provide constructive feedback to facilitate company and team growth
  • Ability to work independently, leveraging tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, videoconferencing software (eg, Zoom), and email to effectively collaborate with in-person and/or remote colleagues.
  • Ability to adapt and scale project approaches to best meet needs and deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and oral/written communication skills. Must be flexible, responsive, and self-directed, and have strong attention to detail.


Desired Experience & Qualifications 

  • Advanced Education / Degrees in related field (Instructional Design, Education, Graphic Design etc.)
  • Experience in adult and continuing education/training (continuing medical/healthcare education a plus)
  • Experience building asynchronous educational products (online, powerpoint, etc.)
  • EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic (National Registry preferred)
  • Emergency Services background (Fire, EMS, Rescue, Law Enforcement, Healthcare field)
  • Experience working in Zoom, Trello, Outlook, and Dropbox
  • Learning technology experience
  • Experience working with visual design tools
  • AAS or higher education level preferred

  • 10 slides minimum, 15 slides maximum
  • Start with a BLANK presentation (Do not use built-in or otherwise downloaded templates; the design must be original)
  • Minimum of 1 media asset per slide
  • Animations and Transitions used appropriately
  • Minimum of 1 video
  • Minimum of 1 narrated slide with appropriate animations
  • File size must not exceed 5 mb
