Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Hybrid Course


Do you want to give back to your community? Do you want to learn how to respond at a moment's notice and save lives? Have you thought about becoming an EMT? EMTs are trained to provide life-saving interventions and provide emergency medical support to people who are injured or critically ill and transport them to a medical facility, if necessary. Not only can you use these skills on the job, working as an EMT, but the skills you'll learn can save lives any time!

PCC is proud to once again offer our popular Initial Emergency Medical Technician Course (Hybrid) Course. 

The EMT class will meet one night per week - alternating Monday and Thursday nights - with the occasional Saturday-day class. The class will have a total of 272 hours comprised of: Traditional classroom-96 Hours, Online classroom-128 hours, Clinical/ Field Internship-48 Hours.

Start Date: Monday, May 16, 2022

End Date: Wednesday, October, 12, 2022

Times: Night classes meet from 5:30pm-9:30 pm, occasional Saturday classes from 8:00am-5:00pm.

Location: All classes will be held at the Pamlico Community College -Bayboro Center, located in Bayboro, NC unless otherwise announced/posted.

There are requirements that must be met to enroll in the course:

1. 17 years of age on or before the official end date of the course.

2. Possession of a high school diploma, high school equivalency or successful completion of an exam assessing basic reading comprehension skills at a minimum at the eleventh-grade level.
