Community Paramedic Clinical Experience and OD Response Training

Initial Seated Class Day is Tuesday, September 20, 2022,  8:00 AM to 5:00

Stanly County EMS Base One

Clinical Days will be scheduled by appoinment between September 21st and October 18th

Intended as a supplement to the full Mobile Integrated Health Care / Community Paramedic Course, this course will introduces the Community Paramedic student to patient interactions in the field, as well as prepares the student to become more familiar with Overdose Responses and how the Community Paramedic fits into the harm reduction world. 

This 32 hour course includes an 8 hour in-person course on the implementation and activities of an EMS based Overdose Response Team as well as two 12-hour clinical ride times with Stanly County EMS or another approved EMS agency. 

During your clinical time you will have the opportunity to experience Overdose Response, Harm Reduction Efforts, patients at high risk for readmission to hospitals, and efforts to address the needs of patients who frequently utilize the 911 system.

Course Cost:  $70 (waived for EMS/Fire/LE)
$16.50 (course fees – not waived)
