ADVANCED EMT (BRIDGE)_23 DAY COURSE_WILMINGTON, NC_NCOAE

The National Center for Outdoor & Adventure Education (NCOAE) in Wilmington, NC offers a comprehensive, 23-day ADVANCED (Bridge) EMT training.  Guided by the North Carolina Office of EMS and teaching to the scope of the National Registry, NCOAE serves students both domestically and internationally. All AEMT (Bridge) courses are facilitated on the NCOAE campus in Wilmington, NC.

A-EMT's function as part of a comprehensive EMS response, under medical oversight.  This training provides an overview of the principles of including IV therapy, advanced cardio, advanced airway management, and several pharmacological interventions beyond the Basic EMT level.  Learners will apply critical thinking skills to ensuring the safety of a scene and a plan for safe patient care and transportation.

Successful completion of the program allows the graduate to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians A-EMT certification examination and apply for state credentials as an A-EMT. NCOAE is credentialed through the North Carolina office of Emergency Medical Services to conduct the A-EMT courses. The A-EMT training is the second level of emergency medicine training and a requirement on your path to becoming a paramedic. Classes meet in person for 23 Days for the state required 160 hours of didactic, lecture, and presentations, as well as 48 hours of ER clinicals, and 48 hours of ambulance ‘ride time’.
