Wilson County EMS is seeking Part-Time EMT-Basics ($12.00/hr) and Paramedics ($18.00/hr.)

Wilson County EMS covers 374 sq. miles in Eastern North Carolina with 5 stations and 7 ALS ambulances. 2017 service demographics reveal a call volume of approximately 16,000 calls.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Managing and leading daily operations which include: Emergency Vehicle Operations, ALS /BLS care, Quality Improvement, Community Education, Special Operations, and other various assigned duties.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Paramedic): High School Diploma or GED equivalent. American Heart Association CPR. Successful completion of the NCOEMS Paramedic Examination or the ability to obtain Paramedic reciprocity in North Carolina.

MINIMUM EDUCATION EXPERIENCE (EMT-B): High School Diploma or GED equivalent. American Heart Association CPR. Successful completion of the NCOEMS EMT-Basic Examination.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Paramedic): Critical Care Credentials, ICS, National Registry, PALS, PEPP, ACLS, AMLS, PHTLS, ITLS and NRP Credentials.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (EMT-Basic): Leadership Training, ICS, National Registry.

WORK SCHEDULE: Wilson County EMS Full Time Providers work 24 hours (07:00 – 07:00) on followed by 72 hour off. Part-time Paramedics and EMT-Basics will be required to work a minimum of 24 hours a month.

SALARY RANGE: (Paramedic): $18.00/hour

SALARY RANGE: (EMT-B): $12.00/hour
