Washington-Tyrrell County EMS is currently accepting applications for Full Time Paramedic. If you are ready to work for a progressive and aggressive system, now is your chance.  Washington-Tyrrell County EMS (WTCEMS) has an opportunity for you to grow and use all of you paramedic skills and treatment options.  As a rural county we expect and offer the ability to treat our patients with longer transport times than other systems can offer. This gives you the chance to really experience what pre-hospital helath care should be.  WTCEMS has standing orders for all currently approved NCCEP protocols, and procedures.  WTCEMS offers up to date equipment, and a modern fleet.  WTCEMS offers the opportunity to work in a system with RSI, Phillips MRX monitors, ventilators, IV pumps, EZ IO, Binder lift,  fleet of power Stryker stretchers, Stryker stair chairs with tread system, and many other innovative equipment with your, and patient safety in mind.  WTCEMS has an aggressive cardiac arrest management concept in place with a ROSC rate of 58%!  Applicants shall be high school graduates with experience in emergency medical care. Applicant must currently be credentialed at the NCOEMS level in which they are applying for.

Full time employees work a modified 24/72 hour shift schedule.  These shifts will be at one of our three stations.  Applicant must possess a valid NC driver’s license and have the ability to deal tactfully with the public.

Salary negotiable based upon experience.
