Wake County EMS Data Analyst

New Position:  EMS Data Analyst, Wake County

 

Wake County Department of EMS is a data-driven organization with a patient-centered focus. We are searching for an individual with ability to utilize a variety of disparate data sets to help drive our operational, clinical, and business practices into the future. This position is critical to driving evidenced-based decision making at Wake County EMS.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable with data mining, statistical analysis, predictive modeling and data visualizations to identify trends and system challenges. The EMS Data Analyst must be comfortable presenting information and educating about data and its use. We are looking for someone to bridge the gap between business questions, data analysis, and implementable actions to improve our service delivery. This also includes having the ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership to identify software tools needed to better manage EMS System data needs.

This position is part of the Command Staff within the EMS Department.  In the position, you’ll be working side by side with the Department Deputy Directors.

Work Submission Requirement:

Candidates selected for interview will be required to submit a portfolio including past work product directly related to data. The portfolio should include at least three different examples of data work. Candidates should be prepared to discuss the purpose, methods used, and outcomes of the portfolio projects.
