Our approximately 400 sq. mile service area is bordered by Badin Lake and Lake Tillery with an estimated population of 67,000. SCEMS responds to over 16,000 calls per year. Stanly County EMS utilizes aggressive Region I protocols and top of the line equipment. We have 4 EMS Bases and 6 Units located in Albemarle, Norwood, Red Cross and New London. New main EMS Base completed this month. 2 new ambulances online, 3 more new ones in production. 2 full time Community Paramedics. Stanly EMS offers opportunities to participate on specialty teams with NC SMAT III, Tactical Medics, Swift Water, SAR and the SPEAR Team. Our service works a 24/72 hours schedule which will provide you with an excellent work/life balance.

Minimal Qualifications: Current NC Paramedic, ACLS, PALS and BLS certifications
Additional Requirements: Must have a valid North Carolina class C driver’s license and must be able to pass a background check, drug screen and agility test.
