Stanly County EMS is accepting applications for Full-Time & Part-Time Paramedics and/or EMT’s.

Our approximately 400 sq. mile service area is bordered by Badin Lake and Lake Tillery with an estimated population of 60,000. SCEMS responds to over 10,000 calls per year. Stanly County EMS utilizes aggressive Region I protocols and top of the line equipment. We have 4 EMS Bases and 6 Units located in Albemarle, Norwood, Red Cross and New London. Stanly EMS offers opportunities to participate on specialty teams with NC SMAT III, Tactical Medics and the SPEAR Team. Our service works a 24/72 hours schedule which will provide you with an excellent work/life balance.

Stanly County EMS offers a tiered pay plan allowing advancement into higher pay grades based on education and experience.  We offer longevity, competitive insurance plans, supplemental insurance such as dental, vision, life, disability and an employee health clinic. Uniforms are provided.

Minimal Qualifications: EMT – Current NC EMT and BLS certifications. Paramedic – Current NC Paramedic, ACLS, PALS and BLS certifications

Additional Requirements: Must have a valid North Carolina class C driver’s license and must be able to pass a background check, drug screen and agility test.

Salary: Full-Time $27,378 - $40,328 depending on experience and certifications

             Part-Time $12.05hr – $16.24hr base rate depending on experience and certifications
