Randolph County EMS Part-Time Opportunity

Randolph County EMS is currently accepting applications for Part Time EMT, AEMT and Paramedic positions. If you are ready to work for a progressive and aggressive system and Medical Director, now is your chance.  As an EMS professional you have an opportunity to grow and use all of your, knowledge, skills and treatment options.  Due to long transport times, you the chance to really experience pre-hospital care. Randolph County EMS will begin transitioning from 24 hour shifts to 12 hour shift beginning in January 2020. The pay rates for all part-time employees will be adusted to the new 12-hour pay scale on January 1, 2020 and new part-time positions have been added in preparation for the additional need expected to be associated with an entire new shift. 

Randolph County EMS covers 804 sq. miles in Central North Carolina with 8 stations and 9 ALS ambulances. 2017 service demographics reveal a call volume of approximately 23,000 calls.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Paramedic): High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Successful completion of the NCOEMS Paramedic Examination or the ability to obtain Paramedic reciprocity in North Carolina.

MINIMUM EDUCATION EXPERIENCE (Advance EMT): High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Successful completion of the NCOEMS Advance EMT Examination

MINIMUM EDUCATION EXPERIENCE (EMT-B): High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Successful completion of the NCOEMS EMT-Basic Examination.

WORK SCHEDULE: Randolph County EMS Full Time Providers work 24 hours (08:00 – 08:00) on followed by 48 hour off. Part-Time Providers will be required to work a minimum of 24 hours a month.

Applicants will be required to undergo drug testing, background checks, driver record screenings, and physical abilities testing in addition to the assessment center.
