Town of Newport Fire Department is accepting applications for full-time FF/Paramedic positions.  Position works a 48/96 schedule.  Our department covers a seventy five square mile area with a steadily increasing call volume of over 2200 calls per year. 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Applicants must possess:

High school diploma, Valid NC Driver’s License, NC EVD

NCOEMS credential of EMT-Paramedic,

NC FF II, Haz-Mat Ops, Healthcare Provider CPR certification. 

Applicants must also possess ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS.

(NIMS) ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800. 

 

Applicants must also pass oral boards in Carteret County prior to beginning work.  Applicants must be physically capable of carrying out the duties that firefighting and EMS require. 

Starting salary with built in overtime at $52,445.00/year.
