Emergency Medical Services Coordinator

Martin Community College is currently seeking an EMS Coordinator to provide leadership and proactive consultation to meet the educational needs of various EMS agencies and health Care providers in the MCC service area. Duties include designing a comprehensive marketing plan for program promotion, maintaining program budget, reporting on program successes, conducting class visits, developing course material, hiring and supervising part-time instructors, assessment of equipment and supplies, instructor training, professional development and teaching classes as needed.


Associate degree in Emergency Medical Service or related field (healthcare discipline, health education, etc.) required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.


Required Experience: Current NC Paramedic certification, NCOEMS Level II Paramedic Instructor, instructor certification for BLS, ACLS, PALS and ITLS/PHTLS; 5 years of full-time EMS field experience; 3 years of EMS leadership, training and supervision experience, teaching in an EMS related area and knowledge of NCOEMS guidelines and training protocols.


Experience with instructional technology, developing online and hybrid classes and marketing educational programs preferred.
