(2) Full Time Paramedics - Rutherford County

Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services is currently accepting applications for EMT-Paramedic full time positions. Rutherford County, located in Western North Carolina consists of 564 square miles and an annual population of 64,000. Annual call volume averages 11,000 per year including the convalescent division. RCEMS operates (5) EMT-P level 911 trucks from (4) bases in the County and (2) EMT level convalescent trucks from (1) base. The 911 trucks work a 24/48 schedule and the convalescent trucks work a sliding schedule based on need of trucks.

All applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; hold a valid driver’s license and current EMT-P credential with NCOEMS in good standing. Individuals not holding credentials from another state and/or National Registry must meet requirement of legal recognition by the NC Office of EMS. ALS candidates must possess BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP & PHTLS/ITLS/ATT. All candidates must possess or obtain NIMS/ICS 100, 200, 700, 800 prior to employment. Candidates are required to submit to pre-employment drug screening, motor vehicle record check and background checks.
