Description: (Posting #: 5336-0) We are currently seeking qualified candidates to respond to emergency calls, at the paramedic level, to determine the extent of illness or injury and establish priorities for required care; perform emergency medical care in accordance with established guidelines and written and verbal instructions from physicians. Other duties include administering medications and IV solutions and inserting airways; transporting persons to the appropriate medical facilities; and performing related tasks as required.
Requirements: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school supplemented by EMT, EMT-I and EMT-P courses provided by the North Carolina State Office of EMS and a minimum of two years experience and training in emergency medical care. Additional requirements include an appropriate State of N.C. driver’s license, and the possession of (or ability to obtain) State of N.C. certification as an EMT at the Paramedic Level.
