Initial Paramedic Program (2018/19) Central Piedmont Community College (Charlotte, NC)

CoA EMSP Accredited Paramedic Program

The paramedic program of Central Piedmont Community College is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP).

CPCC offers training for persons interested in obtaining their initial paramedic certification or pursuing advanced training opportunities.  These courses follow the North Carolina Office of EMS and the National Emergency Medical Services Educational Standards set forth for initial paramedic training.

Paramedic certification training is offered as both a continuing education course and as part of the EMS Associate’s Degree Program.

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2018/2019 Central Piedmont Community College/Center for Prehospital Medicine Paramedic Academy.

Applications will be accepted through April 30, 2018.

Applications and general information can be found at:  https://www.cpcc.edu/emstraining/paramedic-training

The program will begin on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 and complete on Tuesday, December 17, 2019.

Our program schedule is unique and very accommodating for individuals who work on a bi-weekly rotation.  Week one will have class on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 0800 to 1700 and week two will have class on Monday and Tuesdays from 0800 to 1700.  You will need to attend both days each week (this is NOT a flip-flop course).  After the first initial 8 weeks, students will move onto hospital clinical hours on the scheduled Mondays and Wednesday.
