EMS Role With Vulnerable Populations, Montgomery Community College

EMS role with vulnerable populations: This will be a 32-hour course designed to introduce the various population types, what their unique needs and challenges may be, and how we as EMS professionals can better address these issues while they are in our care.  For the purpose of this course vulnerable will be defined as "those with greater-than-average risk of developing health problems."  This can include ethnic minority groups, immigrants, children, women, the elderly, those with special needs, and more.The class will begin January 20th and end on February 14th.  It will be completely online. There will be a recommended book, but not required. 

Course fee is $180, unless agency affiliated and then students are fee-exempt.
