Accelerated EMT Training Oct. 29- Nov. 16 (Southeastern NC)


Overview: The National Center for Outdoor & Adventure Education (NCOAE) offers an accelerated intensive 19-day EMT training, covering 172 didactic hours and 24 hours of clinical and field experience. This training satisfies eligibility requirements for the National Registry, State and EMT certification. This training is taught by NCOAE's professional instructors at the NCOAE campus located in Wilmington, North Carolina. 


Training Dates: October 29, 2018- November 16, 2018


Meeting days & times: Monday-Friday typically 8am-5pm with some variation, some Saturdays and Sundays as well for clinical and BLS trainings. 


Certifications: BLS Health Care Provider CPR certification (valid for 2 years), Certificate of Completion allowing students to sit for NREMT and NC State exam, Hazardous Waste Materials and Weapons of Mass Destruction, Blood Borne Pathogens, FEMA (100, 200, 700, & 800)


Housing options($200): this on site component of this training takes place at the NCOAE campus. You’ll have housing options including living with fellow students in rustic cabins (4 beds to a cabin). These cabins do not have electricity, but you have access to showers, kitchenette, wi-fi, and an on-site classroom 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. Or, if you choose, you are welcome to bring your own tent or hammock to use in designated camping areas. Any of these options are $200 for the entire 19 days.
